Little Miss "Columnist"

Happy weekend kids! So it was kind of a quiet week. I had only one kid here all day everyday for the whole week. The rest were hit and miss, only here for a couple of hours, if at all. A very nice break. That's the thing about doing small family daycare. The odds are at some point during the year you'll end up with a quiet day...

Other news this week, I officially have my General Hospital blog up and running. I was a little surprised at how much traffic generated from day one. Not huge or anything, but I got twenty hits the first day! People love their General Hospital I guess! I was inspired to start it after applying for a guide position at About.com running their GH website. I didn't get it, and was a bit disappointed (obviously the GH site is a decent money maker with the amount of traffic it generates). So I figured why not just make my own GH site, and see what I can do with it. The next time an opportunity comes up for a soap related site, I'll be all set. Besides, I think some small part of me hopes that the writers over at GH will see my complaints and suddenly start writing better material.... It could happen...

Speaking of writing, it looks like I may be getting to interview The Coreys!!! (shriek! giggle! swoon!) That's right, little ol me just might be interviewing both the Feldmaster and The Haimster for reality shack for the second season premier of A&E's The Two Coreys. I should be getting a screener of the show and then if all works out get to interview both Coreys, of course the will not do interviews together, so it'll be two separate interviews.... What do I ask? These are guys who I thought the sun rose & set with as a kid. I even saw Feldman live & in concert at Stoneridge Mall!!! Heck, my son is watching Goonies right now! I hope it works out! Keep your fingers crossed! In the mean time, hit up Reality Shack to catch up on the first season of The two Coreys and to get your hilarious fill of all things reality show related!
I wrote about my experience seeing Corey Feldman in concert over on JamsBio...

Well I'm officially a columnist for JamsBio's Biolog! I got an email yesterday. It's a paid thing (W-9 and everything!). I'm not about to quit the day job or anything, but it's something!! I can actually say "I'm a columnist". So I'm no Carrie Bradshaw or anything, but it's a nifty start... I'm also getting paid a little extra to help load up their new game they added to the site too. It's terribly addictive I recommend trying it immediately...

I am an Entertainment Weekly junkie, and through it have found a new BFF (Ok, so we'll never actually meet or anything, but in my mind she's my new BFF) Diablo Cody! She is hilarious, and when it comes to taste in pop culture I think we share the same brain... In her column, "Binge Thinking" in this weeks issue she talked about the return of 90210! Specifically the coup that is the CW getting both Tori Spelling & Jennie Garth to reprise their legendary Beverly Hills roles for the spin off coming to the CW this fall. Every 30-ish gal our age knows that this is huge news. My pop culture world would only be complete if they somehow made it known to the 90210 masses that Dylan has left Kelly & returned to be with Brenda in Paris. In your face Kelly Taylor!

Skipping Spring Going Straight to Summer

So it turns out that we're not having spring here in CA... Today it was well over 100 and miserable! I'm so glad we have air conditioning! After the kids got picked up, we all went to the pool. It was our first trip of the year to our neighborhood pool, and it felt GREAT! I will admit, I was kind of looking forward to Spring. That one week we had in between winter and summer just wasn't quite enough for my taste...

I'm going to start linking up some of my memories from JamsBio to my posts here, that kind of relate.
Summer

Can I have a moment with my GH fans out there? I've so had it with that stupid Zacchara family. They were cool at first, but now, not so much. Johnny & Claudia with there stupid plans to have someone else take the blame for Michael getting shot (how lame is it that no one has figured it out yet?). They are constantly talking about trying to cover up the obvious. They remind me of those stupid foster farm chickens, trying to pretend their natural when they're car is all full of junk food...you get the picture.
Speaking of stupid and fake, is it just me or does Steve Burton look as annoyed with the show as I am? Whenever Sonny is talking to him I swear the look on Jason's face make me seriously wonder if the voice inside his head is saying, "LA LA LA I can't hear you LA LA A"... Maybe that's just my own voice saying that whenever Sonny speaks, I can't be sure...

Oh wait, that's not the Zacchara's....HA HA

Have you seen the new Macy's commercials? OMG!! They are hilarious!!! This one is the latest and definatley my favorite!

Killing Time Before Lost....

How much can I get in here before Lost begins? Let's see...

1) What's up with McCain? OMG! I'm a democrat and all, but have always thought pretty highly of McCain . As far as republicans go, he's up there with Governator! I'm a little tripped out by these freaky allegations. I was a big defender that Clinton should not have been treated the way he was for cheating on his wife. It sucked and he's a jerk, but did it really impact the country? Hell to the No my people! If what the NYT is saying is true about McCain , it's a whole different thing. This lady, Vicki Iseman, is a lobbyist. That's not just cheating on your wife, that's possibly exchanging political favors for sex... Yuk.

2) My babies are going to Stanford! Can you believe the new standard Stanford has set by allowing anyone whose parents make less than $100,000 to come TUITION FREE! I'm so amazed by this. College is one of the many things that keep me up nights. I regret so desperately not going, and it is CRUCIAL to me that my kids do. If Stanford ends up setting a trend with this new policy, it would be a miracle for me and thousands of other families...

3) Hey Berkeley! Yes you. I've been a big supporter of your endeavors my entire life, but I must draw the line here. Banning the army recruiters? Really? I mean I am against the war as much as the next guy, for sure. But banning the recruiting offices. Berkeley city council, to you I say this, shame shame I know your name. You should all take a time out and think about what it means to be good hippies.
BAD Berkeley hippies, BAD.

4) Are any of my GH fans out there? Can I just say after Jason's terribly mean accusation that Carly hit Sam with her car just mere seconds after Carly told him she was finally pregnant, was LAME. Why couldn't Michael's gun hit Jason instead of Kate? WHY???

5) I am TOTALLY addicted to this new website I'm doing freelance writing for. It's called Jamsbio and I will let you all know when it goes public. It's music & memories. Two things I am REALLY good writing about...

6) After dropping the bomb last Friday that we were going to owe over $4,000, our tax lady has dropped off the face of the earth. I've been calling her and leaving her messages (we need out taxes for the bankruptcy) and she is not calling me back. Then today all I got was a busy signal. ALL DAY. Does the drama ever end?

7) My interview with Scott Baio's wife is up, check it out

Renee was so awesome! truly the highlight of my week!!!

OK, well I've got 10 minutes to Lost, and popcorn to be popped beforehand, so TTFN.
